Visions of Egypt by Munir Eltobgi

Munir Eltobgi, born in Port Said, Egypt, came to the United States in 1967 to study art and earned a bachelor’s degree from Chicago State University.

Justin met Munir through his son (Ali) when at that time he was attending Montgomery College.

Eltobgi primarily paints with oil and canvas, but also occasionally works with acrylic, watercolor and sculpture. His greatest influences are the painters Salvador Dali and Pablo Picasso.

He gets his inspirations from life experience and his culture.

“There was a time in my life when I couldn’t find the help and support I needed anywhere,” I have a belief that God is with me, and that he gave me an aura that protected me and encouraged me to keep going.” Eltobgi said of the painting. – (thesentinel.com: 2015)
